REVIVE THE CIVILIAN CONSERVATION CORPS
My philosophy in life is that everything is a combination. There is no result contrived of just one action. It is a combination of elements that cause an outcome. Same could be said about how we combat climate change. I came across this article by Craig Oxford on Medium that gets into the idea of reviving the Civilian Conservation Corps. (An early 1930s voluntary public work relief program, focusing young civilians on the manual task of conservation and development of natural resources in rural lands. A legacy by the late president Franklin D. Roosevelt.) Check out what he said!
DOWNTOWN ART FESTIVAL
Grand Junction Art Festival, 2019. Basically they shut down Main St. and allow artists to set up shop for the day. It’s rad!
WHY FLY WHEN YOU CAN RIDE
Over the summer I flew Truckee CA way to visit friends. Intending on flying back. Instead purchased a sweet 78 Kawi KZ 650 from a middle school buddy and motoed across the barren desert in a day n’ half. US 50 most of the haul. Open road, daunting at times, but stunning in its vastness. A piece of pavement I highly recommend. Thanks for getting on that road Z! (long time friend and motorcycle mechanic)
