LOVE YOUR MOTHER

Love Your Mother darn it! She deserves it! So this illustration was cooked up through a project collaboration with a new friend. An amigo with an alike appreciation for the great outdoors. I’m talking about the very talented, Jose Manzo, a badass clean-lined creative over in Sacramento.

Jose and I met through Instagram over a few comments that lead to conversations around nature, climbing, aspirations and experiences. There was an instant interest in collabing so I shared some Earth loving ideas to get it going. Jose is a killer designer and I knew with our powers combined we would create radness! Here is a little process.

DEEPER CONCEPT

The concept behind this illustration is as literal as the words say and landscape shows. However take a deeper look at the final and you'll notice Mother is holding the Earth in one hand and a peace lily in the other. What I’m saying here is that she is a part of the Earth within her woodsly environment, as much as she is the eye watching over it. She also can bring peace with the wave of her hand, you just have to accept it. The hummingbirds communicate the wild buzz of animals and life outside of humans. A reminder that we all are on one planet moving about and must respect each other with every pass. Overall the desired message is to show love for our home and all the living beings on it.
