Forest bathing
Slow down and immerse yourself into nature for a full-sensory, health benefiting experience.
Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, originated in Japan and serves as a mechanism for enhancing mental health and overall well-being. This structured approach to engaging with nature offers a departure from conventional outdoor activities. Your guide will facilitate experiences where individuals forge deep connections with nature, tapping into its healing powers. Through simple yet intentional "invitations," participants are guided to immerse themselves in the present moment, fostering a newfound appreciation for the natural world.
Why hire a guide?
Forest bathing is new to most people and dissimilar to the way many spend time in the outdoors. Its efficacy lies in the practice of slowing down and immersing oneself fully in sensory experiences. It’s often a new way of connecting with nature and can lead to many mental and physical health benefits.
What to expect?
During a two-hour forest bathing session, participants engage in a leisurely stroll through nature, emphasizing a gentle pace with moments of stillness interspersed throughout. Facilitated by your guide, the experience ensures a comfortable and inclusive atmosphere, leading participants through a series of sensory-focused invitations. These invitations prompt individuals to connect deeply with their surroundings, fostering an enhanced awareness of the present moment and the natural environment.
